44 4-504-50Disassembly/Assembly > Document Exposure, Feed System > Removing the CIS Unit > ProcedureDisassembly/Assembly > Document Exposure, Feed System > Removing the CIS Unit > ProcedureAfter replacing CIS units:After replacing the contact sensor, go through the following procedure and make sure toadjust the output between channels.1) Enter the service mode.2) Press the arrow key on the control panel to display “TEST MODE”.3) Press OK key.4) Press 2 key and “SCAN TEST” is displayed.5) Press 1 key and “SHADING” is displayed.Procedure after replacing the ADF unitAfter replacing the ADF unit, go through the following procedure.1) Enter the service mode from the Control Panel.2) Select TEST MODE > 2 (SCAN TEST).3) On the screen of the Control Panel, “FV WHITE LVL ADJ” “BW;--- CL;---“ isdisplayed.Adjust the white level of the Copyboard.4) Place a blank paper on the Copyboard and press OK key.5) On the screen of the Control Panel, “ACT” (adjusting) and “OK/NG” (adjustmentresult) are displayed.6) When the adjustment result shows “OK”, press OK key to go to the ADF white leveladjustment. (To step 7)When the adjustment result shows “NG”, complete the operation without performing thefurther adjustments and return to the “SCAN TEST” menu by pressing Stop key.Adjust the ADF white level.7) On the screen of the Control Panel, “ADF WHITE LVL ADJ” “BW;--- CL;---“ isdisplayed.8) Place a paper on the ADF Pickup Tray and press OK key.9) Place a paper on the ADF Pickup Tray and press OK key.10) On the screen of the Control Panel, “ACT” (adjusting) and “OK/NG” (adjustmentresult) are displayed.When the adjustment result shows “OK”, adjustment is completed.When the adjustment result shows “NG”, complete the operation without performing thefurther adjustments.
