This is not a malfunction.–Abnormal characters appearon the screen. The camcorderdoes not operate properly.This camcorder uses a microcomputer. External noise or staticelectricity may cause abnormal characters to appear on thescreen. In such case, disconnect the power source andreconnect it after a short time. If the problem still persists,disconnect the power source and press the RESET buttonwith a pointed item. Pressing the RESET button resets allsettings.–“ ” flashes on the screen.
