Also, make sure the Owner’s Manual and Serv-ice Instructions are left with the unit after installation.SAFETY CONSIDERATIONSInstallation and servicing of air-conditioning equipmentcan be hazardous due to system pressure and electrical com-ponents. Only trained and qualified personnel should install,repair, or service air-conditioning equipment.Untrained personnel can perform basic maintenance func-tions of cleaning coils and filters. All other operations shouldbe performed by trained service personnel. When workingon air-conditioning equipment, observe precautions in theliterature, tags and labels attached to the unit, and other safetyprecautions that may apply.Follow all safety codes. Wear safety glasses and work gloves.Use quenching cloth for unbrazing operations. Have fire ex-tinguisher available for all brazing operations.Before performing service or maintenance operations onsystem, turn off main power to unit. Turn off accessoryheater power switch if applicable. Electrical shock cancause personal injury.General — 50SS,SX cooling units are fully self-containedand designed for outdoor installation. See Fig. 1. As shownin Fig. 2-9, both small- and large-cabinet units are shippedin a horizontal-discharge configuration for installation ona ground-level slab. All units can be converted to down-flow discharge configurations for rooftop applications.
