48Space Relative Humidity Sensor —The space relative humidity sensor is not used with50TCQ models at this time.Smoke Detector/Fire Shutdown (FSD) —This function is available only when the PremierLinktcontroller is configured for (Space) Sensor Mode. The unitis factory--wired for PremierLink FSD operation when thePremierLink controller is factory--installed.On 50TCQ units equipped with factory--installed SmokeDetector(s), the smoke detector controller implements theunit shutdown through its NC contact set connected to theunit’s CTB input. The FSD function is initiated via thesmoke detector’s Alarm NO contact set. The PremierLinkcontroller communicates the smoke detector’s trippedstatus to the CCN building control. See Fig. 50, thePremierLink controller wiring schematic.Filter Status Switch —This function is available only when the PremierLinkcontroller is configured for (Space) Sensor Mode.PremierLink controller can monitor return filter status intwo ways: By monitoring a field--supplied/installed filterpressure switch or via supply fan runtime hours.Using switch input: Install the dirty filter pressure switchaccording to switch manufacturer’s instructions, tomeasure pressure drop across the unit’s return filters.Connect one side of the switch’s NO contact set to CTB’sTHERMOSTAT--R terminal. Connect the other side of theNO contact set to TB1--10. Setpoint for Dirty Filter is setat the switch. See Fig. 60.RTB1J4-4PLFilter Switch (NO, close on rising pressure (high drop))CTBThermostat10C08216Fig. 60 -- PremierLink Controller Filter SwitchConnectionWhen the filter switch’s NO contact set closes as filterpressure drop increases (indicating dirt--laden filters), theinput signal to the PremierLink controller causes the filterstatus point to read “DIRTY”.Using Filter Timer Hours: Refer to the PremierLinkController Installation, Start--up, and ConfigurationInstructions for instructions on using the PremierLinkconfiguration screens and on unit alarm sequence.Supply Fan Status Switch —The PremierLink controller can monitor supply fanoperation through a field--supplied/installed differentialpressure switch. This sequence will prevent (or interrupt)operation of unit cooling, heating and economizerfunctions until the pressure switch contacts are closedindicating proper supply fan operation.Install the differential pressure switch in the supply fansection according to switch manufacturer’s instructions.Arrange the switch contact to be open on no flow and toclose as pressure rises indicating fan operation.Connect one side of the switch’s NO contact set to CTB’sTHERMOSTAT--R terminal. Connect the other side of theNO contact set to TB1--8. Setpoint for Supply Fan Statusis set at the switch. This function may alsoprovide a “Door Switch” time delay function that willterminate cooling and heating functions after a 2 to 20minute delay.Connect one side of the NO contact set on the timeclockto CTB’s THERMOSTAT--R terminal.
