3OPERATIONThe electronic control air conditioner consists of a con-trol panel and a remote control. Both the control panelor the remote control can be used to set cooling and fanmodes and adjust the desired temperature. SeeFig. 2 and 3. Other additional features are provided.TEMPERATURE DISPLAYThe temperature display is located in the top center ofthe control panel. See Fig. 2. During normal operationwhen the unit is on, the temperature display will showthe current room temperature. When the up or downarrows are used to change the thermostat setting, thetemperature display will show the desired tempera-ture setting and not room temperature. The displaywill revert back to room temperature after a delay. Alltemperatures are in Fahrenheit.The temperature display is also used to display hourswhen the timer is used.REMOTE CONTROL ANDPANEL CONTROLSEither the remote control or the control panel on theair conditioner can be used to control the unit. Thebattery cover on the remote control will need to beopened and the tape strip removed before it can beused. See Fig. 4. TURN UNIT OFF/ON — Press the ON/OFF buttonon the remote control or control panel. When the airconditioner is first turned on, the display will show thecurrent room temperature. FAN SPEED — The air conditioner fan speed can beset to HI, MED, LO, or AUTO COOL. The fan speedcontrols the amount of air that is circulated by the airconditioner. Press the Select button (Fan Speed buttonon remote control) to change the fan speed.
