When remaining capacity is 100notes or less, the (RECORDER) button lamp willflash at high speed. Recording will stopautomatically when memory becomes full.• Repeat, fast reverse, fast forward, pause, and tempoadjustment during playback are the same as whenplaying back songs. See “Playing Back a SpecificMusic Library Song” (page E-24) for moreinformation.• You can listen to the song data currently stored inrecorder memory at any time by pressing the (RECORDER) button to enter the playback modeand then pressing (START/STOP).IMPORTANT!• A new recording replaces (deletes) previouslyrecorded contents.• If power to the Digital Piano is cut off while recordingis in progress, everything you recorded up to thatpoint will be deleted. Take care so power is notturned off accidentally during recording operations.You can record up to five songs (numbered 1 through5) in memory. After that, you can select a specific songfor playback.1. Use the (RECORDER) button to cyclethrough the recorder modes until theplayback mode is selected.2. While holding down the (FUNCTION)button, press the (RECORDER) button.This displays the song selection screen.3. Use the (w, q) buttons to select thesong number you want.4. Press the (EXIT) button to exit the songselection screen.5. To record to the currently selected song,press the (RECORDER) button. To playback the currently selected song, press the (START/STOP) button.6. If you are recording, continue from step 2under “Recording or Playing Back a SingleSong” (page E-34).You can record specific instruments, the left hand andright hand, or other parts of a song individually, andthen combine them into a final song.■ What is a track?A “track” is a separate recorded part of a song. Therecorder of this Digital Piano supports a total of 17tracks, which are divided between two types describedbelow. System TrackIn addition to notes you play on the keyboard andother performance operation data, the system trackalso includes a wide range of setup information forthe song, including layer on/off, split on/off, tempo,Auto Accompaniment settings, reverb on/off, etc.When you record a single-track song to recordermemory, as shown under “Recording or PlayingBack a Single Song” (page E-34) and “Recording orPlaying Back Multiple Songs” (page E-35),everything is recorded to the system track. Tracks 01 through 16These tracks are used to record keyboard notes, tonesettings, and pedal operations.
