E-51A tone’s quality and volumesounds slightly differentdepending where it is played onthe keyboard. This is an unavoidable result of the digital sampling process,* and does not indicate malfunction.* Multiple digital samples are taken for the low range, middle range, and high range of the originalmusical instrument. Because of this, there may be a very slight difference in tonal quality and volumebetween sample ranges. When I press a button, the notethat is sounding cuts outmomentarily or there is a slightchange in how effects are applied.Performing a button operation while playing with the Duet Mode, Auto Accompaniment, the recorder, orother functions can cause such phenomena when the Digital Piano switches internal tone effects. It doesnot indicate malfunction.Even though I play on differentranges of the keyboard, the notesdo not change octaves. The ranges of certain tones are limited, which means that octaves change normally up to a certain lownote or high note. With such a tone, the notes of the lowest octave will be repeated to the left of thelowest possible note, and the highest octave will be repeated to the right of the highest possible note. This is due do limitations in the range of the original musical instrument for each tone, and does notindicate malfunction of the Digital Piano.
