You can send play datafrom the Digital Keyboard to music software running on yourcomputer, or you can send MIDI data from your computer tothe Digital Keyboard for playback.The following shows the minimum computer systemrequirements for sending and receiving MIDI data. Check tomake sure that your computer complies with theserequirements before connecting the Digital Keyboard to it.• Operating SystemWindows® XP (SP2 or later)*1Windows Vista ® *2Mac OS ® X (10.3.9, 10.4.11 or later, 10.5.2 or later)• USB port• Never connect to a computer that does not conform tothe above requirements. Doing so can cause problemswith your computer.• Make sure you follow the steps of the procedure belowexactly. Connecting incorrectly can make data sendand receive impossible.1. Turn off the Digital Keyboard and then start upyour computer.• Do not start up the music software on your computeryet!2. After starting up your computer, use acommercially available USB cable to connect itto the Digital Keyboard.3. Turn on the Digital Keyboard.• If this is the first time you are connecting the DigitalKeyboard to your computer, the driver softwarerequired to send and receive data will be installed onyour computer automatically.4.
