SiUS041111 Main FunctionsFunction and Control 311.11 Other Functions1.11.1 Hot-Start FunctionIn order to prevent the cold air blast that normally comes when heating operation is started, thetemperature of the indoor heat exchanger is detected, and either the airflow is stopped or is madevery weak thereby carrying out comfortable heating of the room.*The cold air blast is also prevented using a similar control when the defrosting operation is startedor when the thermostat is turned ON.1.11.2 Signal Receiving SignWhen the indoor unit receives a signal from the remote controller, the unit emits a signal receivingsound.1.11.3 Indoor Unit ON/OFF ButtonAn ON/OFF button is provided on the display of the unit. Press this button once to start operation. Press once again to stop it. This button is useful when the remote controller is missing or the battery has run out. The operation mode refers to the following table.Forced cooling operation can be started by pressing the ON/OFF button for 5 to 9 seconds whilethe unit is not operating.Refer to page 222 for detail.Note: When the ON/OFF button is pressed for 10 seconds or more, the forced cooling operation isstopped.1.11.4 Titanium Apatite Photocatalytic Air-Purifying FilterThis filter combines the Air-Purifying Filter and Titanium Apatite Photocatalytic Deodorizing Filter asa single highly effective filter. The filter traps microscopic particles, decomposes odors and evendeactivates bacteria and viruses.
