7.3 Warning and Alarm TypesWarningsA warning is issued when an alarm condition is impendingor when an abnormal operating condition is present andmay result in the adjustable frequency drive issuing analarm. A warning clears by itself when the abnormalcondition is removed.AlarmsTripAn alarm is issued when the adjustable frequency drive istripped, which means that the adjustable frequency drivesuspends operation to prevent adjustable frequency driveor system damage. The motor coasts to a stop. Theadjustable frequency drive logic continues to operate andmonitor the adjustable frequency drive status. After thefault condition is remedied, the adjustable frequency drivecan be reset. It is then ready to start operation again.Resetting the adjustable frequency drive after trip/triplockA trip can be reset in any of four ways:• Press [Reset] on the LCP• Digital reset input command• Serial communication reset input command• Auto resetTrip lockInput power is cycled. The motor coasts to a stop. Theadjustable frequency drive continues to monitor theadjustable frequency drive status.
