ALARM 15, Hardware mismatchA fitted option is not operational with the present controlboard hardware or software.Record the value of the following parameters and contactDanfoss.15-40 FC Type15-41 Power Section15-42 Voltage15-43 Software Version15-45 Actual Typecode String15-49 SW ID Control Card15-50 SW ID Power Card15-60 Option Mounted15-61 Option SW Version (for each option slot)ALARM 16, Short circuitThere is short-circuiting in the motor or motor wiring.Remove power to the adjustable frequency drive andrepair the short circuit.WARNING/ALARM 17, Control word timeoutThere is no communication to the adjustable frequencydrive.The warning is only active when 8-04 Control TimeoutFunction is not set to OFF.If 8-04 Control Timeout Function is set to Stop and Trip, awarning appears and the adjustable frequency drive rampsdown until it stops then displays an alarm.Troubleshooting:Check connections on the serial communicationcable.Increase 8-03 Control Timeout TimeCheck the operation of the communicationequipment.Verify a proper installation based on EMCrequirements.ALARM 18, Start failedThe speed has not exceeded 1-77 Compressor Start MaxSpeed [RPM] during start within the allowed time. This may becaused by a blocked motor.WARNING 23, Internal fan faultThe fan warning function is an extra protective functionthat checks if the fan is running/mounted. The fan warningcan be disabled in 14-53 Fan Monitor ([0] Disabled).For the D, E, and F Frame units, the regulated voltage tothe fans is monitored.TroubleshootingCheck for proper fan operation.Cycle power to the adjustable frequency driveand check that the fan operates briefly at start-up.Check the sensors on the heatsink and controlcard.WARNING 24, External fan faultThe fan warning function is an extra protective functionthat checks if the fan is running/mounted. The fan warningcan be disabled in 14-53 Fan Monitor ([0] Disabled).TroubleshootingCheck for proper fan operation.Cycle power to the adjustable frequency driveand check that the fan operates briefly at start-up.Check the sensors on the heatsink and controlcard.WARNING 25, Brake resistor short circuitThe brake resistor is monitored during operation. If a shortcircuit occurs, the brake function is disabled and thewarning appears. The adjustable frequency drive is stilloperational but without the brake function. Remove powerto the adjustable frequency drive and replace the brakeresistor (see 2-15 Brake Check).WARNING/ALARM 26, Brake resistor power limitThe power transmitted to the brake resistor is calculated asa mean value over the last 120 s of run time. Thecalculation is based on the intermediate circuit voltage andthe brake resistance value set in 2-16 AC Brake Max.Current. The warning is active when the dissipated brakingenergy is higher than 90% of the brake resistance power. If[2] Trip is selected in 2-13 Brake Power Monitoring, theadjustable frequency drive trips when the dissipatedbraking energy reaches 100%.WARNING/ALARM 27, Brake chopper faultThe brake transistor is monitored during operation and if ashort circuit occurs, the brake function is disabled and awarning is issued. The adjustable frequency drive is stilloperational but, since the brake transistor has short-circuited, substantial power is transmitted to the brakeresistor, even if it is inactive.Remove power to the adjustable frequency drive andremove the brake resistor.General Specifications and ...
