Overcurrent protectionThe frequency converter provides overload protection tolimit threats to human life, property damage and to avoidfire hazard due to overheating of the cables. The frequencyconverter is equipped with an internal overcurrentprotection (4-18 Current Limit) that can be used forupstream overload protection (UL applications excluded).Moreover, fuses or circuit breakers can be used to providethe overcurrent protection in the installation. Overcurrentprotection must always be carried out according tonational regulations.The tables in this section list the recommended ratedcurrent. Recommended fuses are of the type gG for smallto medium power sizes. For larger powers, aR fuses arerecommended.
