Understanding the Tool Box Menus 203Paper DensityPurpose:To specify the paper density.Values:Adjust BTRPurpose:To specify the optimum voltage settings for printing for the transfer roller(BTR). To lower the voltage, set negative values. To increase, set positivevalues.The default settings may not give the best output on all paper types. If yousee mottles on the print output, try to increase the voltage. If you see whitespots on the print output, try to decrease the voltage.*1 Enter 5 in Sleep to put the printer in the Sleep mode five minutes after it finishes ajob. This uses less energy, but requires more warm-up time for the printer. Enter 5 ifyour printer shares an electrical circuit with room lighting and you notice lightsflickering.Select a high value if your printer is in constant use. In most circumstances, thiskeeps the printer ready to operate with minimum warm-up time. Select a valuebetween 5 and 30 minutes for the Sleep mode if you want a balance between energyconsumption and a shorter warm-up period.The printer automatically returns to the standby mode from the Sleep mode when itreceives data from the computer.
