• Power off all power supplies.• Verify that you properly installed the fan tray.• If the fan tray LED remains unlit, power down the unit and replace the fan tray. After you supply power to the system, the fans operate at medium speed. The green (online) fan tray,RPM, and linecard LEDs are lit and remain lit as long as the system is receiving power and is operational. When you turn on power supplies and supply power to the chassis, the system performs a series ofpower-on self tests (POSTs). RPM and line-card LEDs blink as the diagnostic programs run. No userinteraction is required. Observe the process on your console monitor. When the boot process completes, the line-card LEDs remain online (green) and the console monitor displays the command line interface(CLI) prompt.Checking LED StatusAfter you power on the switch, you can check the system, fan, and power status and port activity usingLEDs on the front panel of RPMs, line cards, power supplies, and fan trays.NOTE: You can also check system status using CLI show commands and the Simple NetworkManagement Protocol (SNMP). For more information about these options, refer to the DellNetworking Command Line Reference Guide and Dell Networking Configuration Guide for theC9000 Series. When the C9010 successfully powers up or reloads:• RPM LEDs display system status and management port activity.• Line-card port LEDs display link status and port activity.• PSU and fan LEDs display individual PSU and fan operational status.See Installing an RPM for the location of RPM LEDs. All other LEDs are displayed in illustrations in thissection.Table 2.
