Read and follow the safety instructions that came with theproduct.1 Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnectthe system from the electrical outlet.2 If applicable, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the iDRAC6 EnterpriseCard connector on the system back panel. See Figure 1-3.3 Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 84.4 Remove the VFlash media card (if installed) from the iDRAC6 EnterpriseCard. See "Removing a VFlash Media Card" on page 129.5 Pull back slightly on the two tabs at the front edge of the card and gentlylift the front edge of the card off the retention standoffs.As the card releases from the standoffs, the connector under the carddisengages from the system board connector.6 Slide the card away from the back of the system until the RJ-45 connectoris clear of the back panel and then lift the card out of the system.7 Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 85.8 Reconnect the system and peripherals to its electrical outlet, and turnthem on.Integrated Storage Controller CardYour system includes a dedicated expansion-card slot on expansion-cardriser 1 for an integrated SAS or PERC controller card that provides theintegrated storage subsystem for your system’s internal hard drives. Thecontroller supports SAS and SATA hard drives and also enables you to set upthe hard drives in RAID configurations as supported by the version of thestorage controller included with your system.
