You should onlyperform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or asdirected by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that isnot authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructionsthat came with the product.1. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from theelectrical outlet and peripherals.2. Lay the system on its side, on a flat and stable surface.3. Open the system.4. Slide the power switch through the slot on the front of the system and secure it to the system.5. Route the power-switch cable through the chassis clip.6. Connect the power-switch cable to the power-switch connector on the system board.7. Install the following components:a. optical driveFor information on installing the optical drive, see Installing The Optical Drive.b. bezel8. Close the system.9. Place the system upright on a flat, stable surface.10. Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attachedperipherals.32
