38 | Configuring a Stateful HA PairInitial High Availability SetupBefore you begin the configuration of HA on the PrimaryDell SonicWALL security appliance, perform the following tasks:• Determine which interfaces should be used as the HA ControlInterface and the HA Data Interface.• HA Control Interface—Can be a 1 Gbps interface only.Note that Link Aggregation and Port Redundancy are notsupported for the HA Control Interface.• HA Data Interface—Can be a 1 Gbps or 10 Gbpsinterface. 10 Gbps is recommended.• On the bottom panel of the appliance that will run as theSecondary device, locate the serial number and write thenumber down.
