Security screen optionsOption DescriptionAdmin Password This option enables you to set, change, or delete the administratorpassword.NOTE:• You must set the administrator password before youset the system or hard drive password. Also, deletingthe administrator password automatically deletes thesystem password and the hard drive password.• Successful password changes take effectimmediately.By default, the administrator password is not set.System Password This option enables you to set, change, or delete the systempassword.NOTE: Successful password changes take effectimmediately.By default, the administrator password is not set.Internal HDD-0 password This option enables you to set, change, or delete the internal harddrive (HDD-0) password.• When a hard drive password is set, it travels with the harddrive, so the hard drive is protected even if it is installed onanother system.• The user will be prompted to enter the password every timethe user tries to access the hard drive. If the correct passwordis not entered the hard drive will not function.• By default, the hard drive will not have a password set.Strong Password This option enables you to enforce the option to always set strongpasswords.By default, the Enable Strong Password option is not selected.NOTE: If Strong Password is enabled, the administratorand system passwords must contain at least oneuppercase character and one lowercase character. Thepassword must be at least eight characters long.Password Configuration This option enables you to specify the minimum and maximumpassword lengths of the administrator and system passwords.• min-4—By default, the minimum value is set to 4. You canincrease the value.• max-32—By default, the maximum value is set to 32. You candecrease the value.Password Bypass This option enables you to enable and disable the permission tobypass the system and the internal hard drive password, when theyare set.
