A S S e r i e s O p e r a t i o n Ma n u a l8 - 4 4_88.4 Setting Parameters in a Module8.4.1 Parameters in a ModuleYou can set the parameters in every module configured in HWCONFIG. The functions and characteristics of everymodule depend on the parameter settings. To set the parameters in a module, double-click the module in the systemconfiguration area to open the Device Setting dialog box. This dialog box may be different for each of the variousdevices.The parameters are set according to the functions supported by the module. Before you set the parameters,refer to the Operation Manual for more information. To prevent damage to the system or personnel, check theeffect of the parameters on the module and the entire system. There are two tabs Device Setting dialog box: theDevice Information tab and the Normal Exchange Area tab. Click the Device Information tab to display the moduleinformation, appearance, and present DDF document version.The number of parameters that you can set in the module and the range of setting values depend on the version of theDDF document. The firmware and hardware version of the CPU module also appear when all the modules areconnected online.
