Electri-cian must provide a clamp onthe box cover to secure the wir-ing. Wiring should be routedthrough the bushing in the holeon the outer casing of fireplace.1. Locate fan switch cover. Remove bottomscrew to remove back portion of the cover (seeFigure 17).2. Install a snap bushing found in hardware kitinto one of the holes on rear of fan switch cover. The other hole is for a strain relief clamp (notsupplied) to secure incoming electrical supply.3. Follow steps 3 through 7 in Installing BlowerAccessory, page 14.4. A licensed electrician must follow the wiringdiagram to connect incoming electrical sup-ply to fan kit wiring harness (see Figure 18).Figure 17 - Installing Switch Plate to FanSwitch CoverSwitchCoverScrewScrewRear -FanSwitchCoverFront - FanSwitch CoverSwitch Plate5. Install the switch plate on front of fanswitch cover with 2 #10 screws provided(see Figure 17). Using screw removed instep one, reconnect front and rear of fanswitch cover.6. Plug power cord to the outlet receptacle (notprovided) as shown in Figure 19, page 17. Windextra cable of power cord and tie it up with theplastic wire strap (see Figure 19, page 17). Setthe cable bundle between the fan switch boxand outer casing, away from the burner.7. Test to make sure the blower is workingproperly.8. Reinstall upper louver (see Figure 14, page14) and close lower louver.Extension CordUse extension cord if needed. The cord must have athree-prong, grounding plug and a three-hole recep-tacle. Make sure cord is in good shape. It must beheavy enough to carry the current needed. An under-sized cord will cause a drop in line voltage. This willresult in loss of power and overheating. Use a No.16 AWG cord for lengths less than 50 feet.
