At times the room may ex-ceed the set temperature. If so, the burner willshut off. The burner will cycle back on when roomtemperature drops below the set temperature.The control knob can be set to any heat levelbetween 1 and 5.Note: The thermostat sensing bulb measuresthe air near the fireplace cabinet. This may notalways agree with room temperature (depend-ing on housing construction, installation loca-tion, room size, open air temperatures, etc.).Frequent use of your fireplace will let you de-termine your own comfort levels.MANUAL LIGHTINGPROCEDURE1. Follow steps 1 through 5 under Lighting In-structions, page 24.2. With control knob pressed in, strike match.Hold match to pilot until pilot lights.3. Keep control knob pressed in for 30 sec-onds after lighting pilot. After 30 seconds,release control knob. Now follow step 8under Lighting Instructions, page 24.OPERATINGBLOWERThis blower has three settings: ON, OFF, andAUTO. In the ON position, the blower will op-erate constantly. In the OFF position, theblower will not operate. In the AUTO position,the blower will start when the thermostat sensesa sufficient increase in firebox temperature.Note: Your fireplace and thermostat blowerwill not turn on and off at the same time. Thefireplace may run for several minutes beforethe blower turns on. After the heater modulatesto the pilot position, the blower will continue torun. The blower will shut off after the fireboxtemperature decreases.Note: It is safe to operate fireplace with blowerturned off.
