Open propane/LP supply tank valve forpropane/LP fireplace or main gas valvelocated on or near gas meter for naturalgas fireplace.3. Make sure control knob of fireplace is inthe OFF position.4. Check all joints from equipment shutoffvalve to gas valve (see Figure 35 orFigure 36, page 23). Apply noncorrosiveleak detection fluid to all joints. Bubblesforming show a leak. Correct all leaks atonce.5. Light fireplace (see Operation, page 27).Check all other internal joints for leaks.6. Turn off fireplace (see To Turn Off Gas toAppliance, page 28).INSTALLING OPTIONAL WALLMOUNT SWITCH - GWMS21. Connect one terminal of 25 ft. wire forwall switch to TPTH terminal on valve.Connect remaining wire terminal to THterminal on valve. Make sure that wire ter-minals are in positions on unit as picturedin Figure 37. If wires are not connected asshown switch will not work.2. Route 25 ft. wire through openings pro-vided on sides of burner system to a con-venient location to mount your switch.3. Connect one bare wire end to each termi-nal of GWMS2 wall switch.4.
