If the average room temperature reachesa range of 82° F (28° C) to 92° F (33° C),the hand-held remote control will performa safety override and shut the fireplaceoff. This feature is not available in theMANU mode.2. The receiver continuously receives signalsfrom the hand-held remote to control theroom temperature. If the hand-held remoteis misplaced, obstructed or for any reasoncannot transmit to the receiver, the receiverwill shut off the fireplace. This will occur in 8or more minutes depending upon location ofremote transmitter and strength of batteries.Key Pad Lock FeatureThis feature allows the user to lock/unlock thekeypad on the hand-held remote in the MANUor AUTO mode to prevent inadvertent op-eration (i.e. children operating the hand-heldremote control, etc.). The keypad is locked ineither on or off. Press the POWER and LOCKbuttons together to turn the unit on or off.
