The on-screen menu opens with thePicture menu displayed.2 Press T or ENTER to access the menu.3 Press S or T to highlight an option, press W or X toadjust the setting, or press X or ENTER to go to thesub-menu. You can select:• Picture Mode—Selects the picture mode. You canselect:• Vivid—(a bright and vivid picture).Significantly increases the contrast, brightness,and sharpness. This selection is good for videogames, animation, and in bright lightenvironments.• Standard—(a standard picture). Moderatelyincreases the contrast, brightness, andsharpness. This selection is good for standardTV broadcasts.• Energy Savings—(the backlight brightness isdecreased). Your TV has a backlight thatprovides light for displaying a picture. Byreducing the amount of light, your TV uses lessenergy.• Custom—(customized picture). Lets youmanually adjust picture settings such asbrightness, contrast, and sharpness.• Contrast—Adjusts the brightness of the lightareas of the picture.• Brightness—Adjusts the brightness of the darkareas of the picture.• Color—Adjusts the color intensity of the picture. Alow setting may make the color look faded. A highsetting may make the color look artificial.• Tint—Adjusts the color balance of the picture. Usethis control to make skin tones look more natural.• Sharpness—Adjusts the color detail of images. Ifyou set this control too high, dark images mayappear with light or white edges.• Backlight—Increasing the backlight settingincreases the brightness and display performanceof the screen. The higher the setting, the higherthe power consumption.• Advanced Video—Opens a menu where you canadjust additional video options.• Color Temperature—Selects the colortemperature. You can select Cool (to enhancethe blues), Normal, or Warm (to enhance thereds).NoteYou can also press PICTURE on yourremote control to select the picture mode.
