You canselect:• Standard—Balances treble and bass. Thissetting is good for watching standard TVbroadcasts.• Music—Preserves the original sound. Thissetting is good for listening to music.• Movie—Enhances treble and bass for a richsound experience. This setting is good forwatching DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and HDTV.• News—Enhances vocals for TV audio. Thissetting is good for watching news broadcasts.• Custom—Lets you manually adjust soundsettings.• Treble—Adjusts the high sounds.• Bass—Adjusts the low sounds.• Balance—Adjusts the balance between the leftand right audio channels.• Digital Audio/SPDIF—Sends digital audio to anexternal audio system. You can select PCM (tooutput audio in 2-channel stereo), or RAW (to passthrough the original digital audio sound).• Audio Language—(Digital channels only) Selectsan alternate audio language, if available.• MTS/SAP—(Analog channels only) Selects theaudio mode. You can select:• Mono—Select this option if there is noise orstatic on weak stereo broadcasts.• Stereo—Select this option for programsbroadcast in stereo.• SAP—Select this option to listen to asecondary audio program, if available.• Reset Audio Settings—Reset all audio settings tofactory defaults.4 Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or pressEXIT to close the menu.Playing TV audio onlyYou can turn off the picture on your TV and listen to theprogram audio only.1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.2 Press W or X to highlight Audio, then press T orENTER. The Channels menu opens.3 Press S or T to highlight Audio Only, then press Wor X to select On.4 Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or pressEXIT to close the menu.NoteYou can also press MTS/SAP one or moretimes to select the audio mode.Notes• The picture turns off in about fiveseconds.• Audio Only works only when theinput source is TV, and your TV isreceiving a broadcast signal.• To exit audio only mode, press anybutton.
