It can be re-charged at any stage of printer opera-tion.The battery that is new or has notbeen used for a long time cannot becharged up to its full capacity. There-fore, in order to form the battery followthree charge-and-then-discharge cy-cles. See figures A and C .1. Pull out plug 15 from socket 14and tilt it.2. Insert power pack connector 26to socket 14, and connect powerpack 25 to a wall outlet.3. Lamp 21 glows when the batteryis being charged. Wait until thecharging is over and lamp 21starts flashing.4. If the printer is to be storedfor a longer time (6 months or longer)and its batteries are not recharged, itmay work for a shorter time after ithas been recharged afterwards or incertain circumstances even stopworking. Such a phenomena iscaused by the properties of the batter-ies, which are always subject to theprocess of self-discharging. In theconsequence of self-discharging andlong-term storage in the dischargestate, the maximum capacity of thebatteries may lower or the batteriesmay get damaged completely. In order to avoid such a situation, it isnecessary to charge batteries of theHANDJET ® EBS 250 printer at leasttwice a year (however not lessfrequently than every 6 months).Otherwise, the printer may stop work-
