Beforeplacing it in storage, checks should be made to make sure that theunit is free from shipping damage and is in satisfactory operatingcondition. The unit is shipped with its contacts open, the indicators onthe front panel should confirm this. Outdoor storage is NOTrecommended. If unavoidable, the outdoor location must be welldrained and a temporary shelter from sun, rain, snow, corrosivefumes, dust, dirt, falling objects, excessive moisture, etc. must beprovided. Containers should be arranged to permit free circulation ofair on all sides and temporary heaters should be used to minimizecondensation. Moisture can cause rusting of metal parts anddeterioration of high voltage insulation. A heat level of approximately400 watts for each 100 cubic feet of volume is recommended withthe heaters distributed uniformly throughout the structure near thefloor.Indoor storage should be in a building with sufficient heat andcirculation to prevent condensation. If the building is not heated, thesame general rule for heat as for outdoor storage should be applied.3.4 VCPW-VSR APPROXIMATE WEIGHTSRefer to Table 3.Tablt 3.
