Chapter 6 Optional accessories6.1 TransformerFor loads that are sensitive to common mode voltages (Neutral to Earth) theinstallation of a special transformer to the output will reduce the Neutral-to Groundvoltage to less than 1V. The installation of a special transformer to the inputwill avoid triplen harmonics in the power system and reduce disturbances, thuspreventing the load devices from disturbing other devices connected to the powersystem. It is recommended to connect the transformer to the input or outputaccording to special application requirements.266.2 Temperature SensorIncreased battery temperature will reduce battery life. A temperature sensorcan be used to detect the temperature change, enabling the temperaturecompensation function of charge voltage. The battery charge voltage will beadjusted automatically to prolong battery life.6.3 IP21 OptionEDX 60~80KVA Series UPS have a perforated top for ventilation. The installationof an optional hood increases the protection to IP21.
