Plug the attached PDM-to-UPS cord into the input connector on theUPS rear panel.6. Plug the equipment to be protected into the PDM outputreceptacles. Distribute the load evenly between the rows ofreceptacles.NOTE DO NOT protect laser printers with the UPS because of the exceptionally high powerrequirements of the heating elements.7. Using the UPS power cord removed in Step 3, plug the cord intothe PDM input connector.8. Plug the other end of the power cord into a power outlet.All front panel indicators flash briefly and the UPS conducts aself‐test.9. Press the On/Off Button on the UPS front panel for at least onesecond.The UPS front panel display changes status to “UPS starting...” andthe indicator illuminates solid.
