24The cutting head/work attachment (nylon line head,blade, or PAS/SB attachment) must not move at idle,otherwise serious personal injury may result. Periodiccarburetor adjustment may be necessary to assure thecutting head/PAS attachment does not move at idle. Ifthe cutting head/work attachment moves at idle, re-adjust carburetor according to “Carburetor Adjustment”instructions and idle speed specifications provided inyour Operator’s Manual. See your Echo dealer orcontact Echo Consumer Support at 1-800-432-ECHO.for help if you have any questions.Follow these important safety rules when starting yourunit:• DO NOT use unit if cutting head/work attachmentmoves while engine is idling (throttle trigger notdepressed). Adjust idle speed as instructed in yourunit’s Operator’s Manual before using unit.• NEVER start or run your unit indoors or anywhereelse where there is poor air circulation. Indooroperation produces dangerous levels of CarbonMonoxide, a colorless and odorless poisonous gas.Carbon Monoxide (CO) causes nausea and otherflu-like symptoms if breathed. Prolonged exposureto CO may cause loss of consciousness, braindamage, or death.• NEVER start a unit near a gasoline container orspilled gasoline.• ALWAYS move at least 3 m (10 ft.) away fromrefueling location before starting engine.• If a protective blade cover is used, ALWAYS re-move blade cover before starting unit. Keep bladecover nearby, and place cover back on blade whenunit is off and blade has stopped.• NEVER start a PAS/HCA (extended shaft, articulat-ing blade) unit while blade is in folded/locked posi-tion.
