ESN security operating procedure41VIIIAfter the [SEC] message will appearfor two seconds, rolling code (six digit)will appear.[DISC] flashes on the display.You will have five more attempts toinsert correct disc.If the correct CD is inserted, an [OK]message will appear for two secondsand the CD will be ejected.ATTENTION• If an incorrect CD is inserted, an [ERR_ ]("ERR" and error number) message willappear for two seconds, after which the CDwill be ejected.• This process cancels the protection for ESNmain unit.How to turn the securityindicator on/offOnce ESN security is activated, the indicatorflashes whenever the vehicle's ignition switch isturned off, warning potential thieves that the mainunit is protected. However, if do not want thisvisible deterrent, it may be turned off.[IND. FLASH] means the securityindicator will flash when the vehicle'signition switch is off, and [IND.-----]means it will not. Repeat the abovesteps to reactivate the flash mode.How to read the ElectronicSerial Number[ESN] appears on the display, followedby an eight-digit number; this numberis your electronic serial number (ESN).You may use this number to identifyyour Eclipse CD7100 in the event oftheft recovery.3 Press the button [6], then[SCREEN] button, and hold themfor five seconds.4 Press the [SCREEN] button.5 Insert the Key CD into the slot.● Note ●If after 5 tries the correct Key CD is notinserted, the display reads [CALL]; themain unit must be returned to Eclipseto be reset.
