It is secured using4 screws (2 at each end) in the rear edge of the flue grille.Remove the outer 2 screws and then loosen the inner pair. Fitthe splashback over the inner screws and then refit the outerscrews (Fig.7-10). Tighten all screws to secure.Stability Bracket and Chain A stability bracket and chain should be fitted whenthe cooker is connected to a flexible gas supply.Unless properly installed, the cooker could be tipped byleaning on the door. Injury might result from spilled hotliquids or from the cooker itself.IMPORTANT: The cooker must be set to the correct heightand levelled before the stability bracket is installed.Fitting a Stability Bracket (Fig.7-11 and Fig.7-12)A stability bracket or chain (not supplied by with thecooker) should be fitted when the cooker is connected to aflexible gas supply.When fitting a stability bracket read these instructionstogether with the leaflet supplied with the bracket.1. Place the cooker in its intended position and level thecooker.2. Draw a pencil line 100mm from the front edge of thelevelling feet.3. Mark the centre line for the bracket by measuring550mm from the left hand side of the cooker.4. Lower the front roller and move the cooker forward.5. Measure back from the pencil line 550mm to locate thefront edge of the bracket. Fix the bracket to the floor.6. Measure the height from floor level to engagementedge in back of cooker. Add 3mm to this dimension andassemble the stability bracket to this height (i.e. fromfloor level to underside of the top member) and ensurethe bracket does not foul the oven burner assembly.Fitting the Restraining ChainThe restraining chain MUST be fitted.The length of chain between the appliance and the wall fixingshould prevent strain on the gas and electricity connections,but still allow access to unhook the chain when the cooker ispull forward.Fix the supplied hook securely to the wall.Measure the length of chain required.
