Very perishable foodssuch as pork or fish should be avoided if a long delayperiod is planned, especially in hot weather. For reasons of health, don’t place warm food in theovens if they are to be operated using a timer, anddon’t program the ovens if one or other of them isalready warm.Whole poultry must be thoroughly defrosted beforebeing placed in the oven. Check that meat and poultryare fully cooked before serving. The oven control settings and cookingtimes given in the table overleaf areintended to be used only as a guide.Individual tastes may require thetemperature to be altered to provide apreferred result. For best results pre-heat the oven until theoven indicator light goes out. When using recipes, reduce the temperatureby 10°C and the cooking time by 5-10 minutes. The temperatures in the fanned ovens do notvary with height - so you can use any shelf.Always leave at least one runner spacebetween shelves when 2 tier cooking.
