32Care and cleaning of the range.Painted surfaces include the sides of therange and the sides of the door trim.To clean the painted surfaces, use a hot,damp cloth with a mild detergent suitable forthese surfaces. Use a clean, hot, damp clothto remove soap. Dry with a dry, clean cloth.Do not use steel-wood pads, commercialoven cleaners, cleaning powders or otherabrasive cleaners. They will damagethe surface.Painted Surfaces (on some models)On glass cooktop models, the oven is ventedthrough an opening at the rear of thecooktop.On coil cooktop models, the oven is ventedthrough an opening under the right rearsurface unit.Never cover the opening with aluminum foilor any other material.Oven Vent (on coil models)To clean the outside glass finish, use a glasscleaner. Rinse and polish with a dry cloth.Glass Window (on some models)Do not use a steel wool pad; it will scratchthe surface.To clean the stainless steel surface,use warm sudsy water or a stainless steelcleaner or polish. Always wipe the surfacein the direction of the grain.
