60 GE Information D.20 RIO - HARDWARE USER’S MANUALREPLACING THE FUSES CHAPTER 7: SERVICING THE D.20 RIOReplacing the fusesThere are three fuses within the D.20 RIO, marked on the circuit board as F1, F2, and F3.Two different types of fuses are used (see Table 18, “Fuse part numbers,” on page 60):• F1 and F2: 3.5 amp SMD time-lag. Both of these fuses are used on the D.20connections. Fuse F1 is for power and fuse F2 is for return. If either of these fuses fails, verify your D.20 link wiring to ensure a short does not exist.• F3: 1.5 amp SMD time-lag. This fuse is for the D.20 RIO itself. If this fuse fails, ensurethat a correctly rated power supply is connected and that it is operating correctly. The fuse part numbers are;Table 18: Fuse part numbersEnsure that you install a replacement fuse of the correct type and rating. Failure to doso may impair the safety features of the D.20 RIO.Figure 10: D.20 RIO fuse locationsTIPYou can use a pair of needle-nose pliers to extract the failed fuse and install a replacementfuse in the surface-mount holder.Fuse GE Part Number Manufacturer Manufacturer’s PartNumberF1, F2 940-0038 Littlefuse Inc. 015703.5 DRTF3 940-0037 Littlefuse Inc. 015701.5 DRTD.20 RIO printed circuit boardPowerD.20 BD.20 ARS-232F1 F2 F3EthernetEthernetSystem LEDsFront ›‹ Rear
