Replace them inthe same location after cleaning.NOTE: Do not use steel wool or scouring powdersto clean the burner parts.Burner capsLift off when cool. Wash burner caps in hot,soapy water and rinse with clean water. Youmay scour with a plastic scouring pad toremove burned-on food particles.Burner Heads and Oval (Center) BurnerHead/Cap AssemblyThe burner heads and the oval burner head/capassembly are removable. Simply lift them off therange for cleaning.For proper ignition, make sure thesmall hole in the section that fits over theelectrode is kept open. A sewing needleor wire twist-tie works well to unclog it.The slits in the burner heads must be kept cleanat all times for an even, unhampered flame.Clogged or dirty burner ports orelectrodes will not allow the burner tooperate properly.Any spill on or around an electrode mustbe carefully cleaned. Take care to not hit anelectrode with anything hard or it could bedamaged.Clean the burner heads routinely, especiallyafter bad spillovers, which could clog theopenings. Lift off when cool.To remove burned-on food, soak theburner heads in a solution of mild liquiddetergent and hot water for 20–30 minutes.For more stubborn stains, use a toothbrush.After cleaningBefore putting the burner caps, heads andoval head/cap assembly back, shake outexcess water and then dry them thoroughlyby setting in a warm oven for 30 minutes.ReplacementBurner HeadsReplace burner heads over the electrodeson the cooktop, in the correct locationsaccording to their size. There is one small,one medium, one large and one extra largeburner head.Make sure the slot in the burner head ispositioned over the electrode.Oval (Center) Burner Head/Cap AssemblyReplace the oval (center) head/capassembly over the electrode on the cooktop.CapsReplace the matching size caps onto theburner bases or heads.Make sure that the heads and caps arereplaced in the correct locations.The oval burner head/cap assembly isremovable. Simply lift it off the rangefor cleaning.
