20TIMED BAKINGHow to Set Your Oven for Time BakeThe oven control allows you to turn the oven on oroff automatically at specific times that you set.Examples of Immediate Start (oven turns on now andyou set it to turn off automatically at the end ofcooking time) and Delay Start and Stop (setting theoven to turn on automatically at a later time and turnoff after a preset cooking time) will be described.NOTE: Before beginning make sure the clock showsthe correct time of day.To set the clock, first press CLOCK.Press the INCREASE or DECREASE padto set the time of day. Press START.NOTE: An attention tone will sound if you are usingTimed Baking and do not press START after enteringthe baking temperature.CLOCKHow to Set Immediate Start and Automatic StopTo avoid possible burns, place the shelves in thecorrect position before you turn the oven on.The oven will turn on immediately and cook for aselected length of time. At the end of cooking time,the oven will turn off automatically.1. Press BAKE.2. Press the INCREASE orDECREASE pad to set theoven temperature.3. Press COOKING TIME.NOTE: If your recipe requirespreheating, you may need to addadditional time to the length of thecooking time.4. Press the INCREASE orDECREASE pad to set thebaking time.The oven temperature and thecooking time that you entered willbe displayed.5. Press START. The display shows theoven temperature that you set and thecooking time countdown. (The displaystarts changing once the temperature reaches100°F.)The oven will continue to cook for theprogrammed amount of time, then shut offautomatically.6. Press CLEAR/OFF to clear the endof cycle tone if necessary.NOTE:• The low temperature zone of this range (between170°F. and 200°F.) is available to keep hot cookedfoods warm. Food kept in the oven longer than twohours at these low temperatures may spoil.• Foods that spoil easily, such as milk, eggs, fish,stuffings, poultry and pork, should not be allowed tosit for more than one hour before or after cooking.Room temperature promotes the growth of harmfulbacteria.
