Care and CleaningPorcelain Enamel CooktopThe porcelain enamel finish is sturdy but breakableif misused. This finish is acid-resistant. However, anyacidic foods spilled (such as fruit juices, tomato or vinegar)should not be permitted to remain on the finish.If acids spill on the cooktop while it is hot, use a drypaper towel or cloth to wipe it up right away. When thesurface has cooled, wash with soap and water. Rinse well.For other spills such as fat spatterings, wash with soapand water or cleansing powders after the surface hascooled. Rinse well. Polish witha dry cloth.Oven Light BulbNOTE: The glass cover should be removed onlywhen cold. Wearing latex gloves may offer a bettergrip.Before replacing the bulb, disconnect electricalpower to the oven at the main fuse or circuitbreaker panel. Let the bulb cool completely beforeremoving it. For your safety, do not touch a hotbulb with a damp cloth. If you do, the bulb willbreak.To remove:Turn the glass cover counterclockwise 1/4 turnuntil the tabs of the glass cover clears the groovesof the socket. Remove the bulb.To replace:Put in a new 40-watt appliance bulb. Place the tabsof the glass cover into the groove of the socket.Turn the glass cover clockwise 1/4 turn.NOTE:• A 40-watt appliance bulb is smaller than astandard 40-watt household bulb.• Reconnect electrical power to the oven.• For improved lighting inside the oven, cleanthe glass cover frequently using a wet cloth. Thisshould be done when the oven is completely cool.Broiler Pan and GridAfter broiling, remove the broiler pan and grid fromthe oven. Remove the grid from the pan. Carefullypour the grease from the pan into a proper container.Wash and rinse the broiler pan and grid in hot waterwith a soap-filled or plastic scouring pad.If food has burned-on, sprinkle the grid withdetergent while hot and cover with wet papertowels or a dishcloth. Soaking the pan will removeburned-on foods.Both the broiler pan and grid may be cleaned witha commercial oven cleaner.Do not store a soiled pan and grid anywhere inthe range.Both the broiler pan and grid can also be cleanedin the dishwasher.Do not clean the broiler pan or grid in theself-cleaning oven.35Maximumlength31⁄2”Glass coverTabBulbSocket
