22ADJUST THE OVEN THERMOSTAT—DO IT YOURSELF!You may find that your new oven cooks differentlythan the one it replaced. We recommend that youuse your new oven for a few weeks to become morefamiliar with it, following the times given in yourrecipes as a guide.If you think your new oven is too hot or too cool,you can adjust the thermostat yourself. If youthink it is too hot, adjust the thermostat to make itcooler. If you think it is too cool, adjust thethermostat to make it hotter.We do not recommend the use of inexpensivethermometers, such as those found in grocery stores,to check the temperature setting of your new oven.These thermometers may vary 20–40 degrees.To Adjust the Thermostat:1. Press BAKE and BROIL HI/LOat the same time for 2 secondsuntil the display shows “SF.”2. Press BAKE. A two digitnumber shows in the display.3. The oven temperature can beadjusted up to (+) 35°F. hotteror (-) 35°F. cooler. Press theINCREASE pad to increasethe temperature in 1 degreeincrements.3. Press the DECREASE pad todecrease the temperature in 1degree increments.4. When you have made theadjustment, press START togo back to the time of daydisplay.
