To maintain andprotect the surface of your new glass ceramic cooktopfollow these basic steps.DAILY CLEANING: Use only Cook Top CleaningCreme on Glass Ceramic.For normal, light soil:1. Rub a few drops (less is better) of Cook TopCleaning Creme onto the soiled area using a drypaper towel. Wipe until all soil and creme areremoved. Frequent cleaning leaves a protectivecoating which is essential in preventing scratchesand abrasions.2. Clean the surface with Cook Top Cleaning Cremeafter each use.For heavy, burned on soil:1. Apply a few drops of Cook Top Cleaning Creme tothe (cool) soiled area.2. Using a dry paper towel, rub creme into theburned on area. As with any bul”ned on spill,this may require some effort.3. Carefully scrape remaining soil with the razorscraper. Hold the scraper at a 30° angle against theceramic surface.4. If any soil remains, repeat the steps listed above.For additional protection, after all soil has beenremoved, polish the entire surface with the CookTop Cleaning Creme.5. Buff with a dry paper towel.NOTE:l Using a razor scraper will not damage the surfaceif the 30° angle is maintained.l Be sure to use a new, sharp razor scraper.Do not use a dull or nicked blade.l Store the razor scraper out of reach of children.Special Care:Sugary spillovers (such as jellies, fudge, candysyrups) or melted plastics can cause pitting of thesurface of your cooktop (not covered by the warranty)unless the spill is removed while still hot. Specialcare should be taken when removing hotsubstances. Follow these instructions carefully andremove the soil while the spill is still hot.1. Turn off all the surface units affected by thespillover. Remove hot pans.2. Wearing an oven mitt, hold the razor ~,,,<:,i~,’~, ,4scraper at a 30° angle to the cooktop -~ v + 1and scrape the hot spill to a cool area - ,,outside the surface unit.3. With the spill in a cool area, use a dry paper towel toremove any excess.
