A high ambient temperature will shorten this operational life.9.3 OTHER COMPONENTS WITH LIMITED LIFETIMEWe recommend the replacement of components such as AC and DC Capacitors every 50,000 hours.9.4 BATTERY MAINTENANCEThe service life of the battery is from 3 to 6 years, depending on the operating temperature and on thenumber of discharge cycles. The UPS LP33 Series offers the possibility of SBM (Superior Battery Management). The function SBM can be activated through a service Parameter. The functionality of SBM reduces the Battery recharging time together with improved lifetime of theBattery. As a healthy battery is essential to the performance of the UPS, an automatic or manual battery testcan be performed regularly to ensure failsafe operation, in order to check if the battery can provide theexpected backup time in case of utility failure. We recommend the battery test be performed at least every 1 month, especially if the battery is notsufficiently discharged during normal operation.Since the parameter enabling the battery test protected by user password, please contact your ServiceCenter for more information. Please consider that, if you did a full battery test to verify the full runtime of the battery, the chargerneeds at least 8 hours to recharge the battery up to 90% of its capacity. To guarantee that the battery is fully charged, the UPS system should be in operation for at least 12hours every 3 months. When the condition of the battery is critical, the warning signal will be activated (general alarm, buzzerand alarm message “4118 - Battery fault”).In this case the battery must be replaced as soon as possible. Please contact your Service Center.9.5 SERVICE REQUIREDIf this lamp lights up during normal operation, the unit has not been serviced for the last 20,000 hoursby a GE trained technician. We highly recommend that you contact your Service Center for preventive maintenance work.NOTE !Ask to your local Service Center to submit the form of Preventive MaintenanceContract suitable for your specific needs.
