IMPORTANTSAFETYINSTRUCTIONSAdvontium OvenWARNING!SAFETY PRECAUTIONS• Do not operate the oven withoutthe turntable in place. The turntablemust be unrestricted so it can turn.During and after use, do not touch, orlet clothing or other flammable materialscontact any interior area of the oven;allow sufficient time for cooling first.• Potentiallg hot surfaces include theoven door, floor, walls, oven rack andturntable.• Keep the oven free from grease buildup.• Cook meat and poultru thoroughly-meat to at least an INTERNALtemperature of 160°F, and poultry toat least an INTERNALtemperature of180°F. Cooking to these temperaturesusuallu protects against foodborneillness.ARCING Arcing can occur during both speedcooking and microwave cooking. If gou see arcing,press the CLEAR/OFF pad and correct the problem.Arcing is the microwave term for sparksin the oven. Arcing is caused bu:• Metal or foil touching the side ofthe oven.• Foil not molded to food (upturned edgesact like antennas).• Use foil onlg as recommended inthis manual.Metal cookware or the wire oven rackused during either speedcook ormicrowave cooking (except for the pansprovided with the oven).• Metal, such as twist-ties, poultrg pins,or gold-rimmed dishes, in the oven.• Recucled paper towels containing smallmetal pieces being used in the oven.FOODS/4• When microwaving, place all foods andcontainers on the clear glass trag.• Do not pop popcorn in gour oven unless ina special microwave popcorn accessorg orunless gou use popcorn labeled for use inmicrowave ovens.• Do not boil eggs in this oven. Pressure willbuild up inside egg yolk and will cause it toburst, possibly resulting in injury.• Do not operate oven without food inside.This may cause damage to the oven. Itincreases the heat around the magnetronand can shorten the life of the oven.• Foods with unbroken outer "skin"such as potatoes, hot dogs, sausages,tomatoes, apples, chicken livers and othergiblets, and egg yolks should be pierced toallow steam to escape during cooking.• SUPERHEATED WATERLiquids, such as water, coffee or tea, are able tobe overheated begond the boiling point withoutappearing to be boiling. Visiblebubbling orboiling when the container is removed from themicrowave oven is not alwogs present.
