The tachometer at the back of themotor provides speed input to the main board.Motor resistance values:Start winding = approximately 5 ΩRun winding = approximately 4 ΩThe blower motor is attached to a plate that is heldto the blower housing with 5 Phillips head screwsand two tabs that engage 2 slots in the dryer floor.The blower wheel is held to the motor shaft by ablower wheel clamp. A vapor shield is installed overthe top of the blower housing.To remove the blower motor:Remove the drum. (See1. Drum.)Loosen the 3/8-in. hex-head screw that secures2.the blower wheel clamp to the motor shaft.Remove the 2 Phillips-head screws that attach3.the motor plate to the frame.Note the position of the vapor shield, then4.remove the top Phillips-head screw and thevapor shield.5.
