An electric shockmay result, which could cause youto knock over hot cookware.Burner Caps and HeadsBurner CapsLift off when cool. Wash burner capsin hot, soapy water and rinse with cleanwater. You may scour with a plasticscouring pad to remove burned-onfood particles.Burner HeadsThe slits in the burner heads of your cooktopmust be kept clean at all times for an even,unhampered flame.You should clean the surface burnersroutinely, especially after bad spillovers,which could clog these openings. Lift offwhen cool.To remove burned-on food, soak theburner heads in a solution of mildliquid detergent and hot water for20–30 minutes. For more stubborn stains,use a toothbrush.After CleaningBefore putting the burner caps andheads back, shake out excess water andthen dry them thoroughly by setting ina warm oven for 30 minutes.ReplacementThe burner heads and burner bases arelabeled A, B and C to aid reassembly.Replace the burner heads on the basesmatching the letters. Replace the caps onthe heads. Make sure that the caps andheads are replaced in the correct location.There is one small (A), two medium (B)and one large (C) head and cap.NOTE: Before removing the burner capsand heads, remember their size and location.Replace them in the same location aftercleaning.
