10CustomCool ™Stainless Steel RefrigeratorHow it works The CustomCool feature is a system ofdampers, a fan, a temperature thermistorand a heater. Depending on the functionselected, a combination of these will beused to quickly chill items, thaw items orhold the pan at a specific temperature.The pan is tightly sealed to prevent the pan’stemperature from causing temperaturefluctuations in the rest of the refrigerator.The controls for this pan are located at thetop of the fresh food compartment with thetemperature controls.How to use 1 Empty the pan. Place the Chill/Thaw trayin the pan. Place the items on the tray andclose the pan completely.2 Select the ExpressThaw™, ExpressChill ™or SelectTemp™ pad. The display and SETlight will come on. Tap the pad until the lightappears next to the desired setting. Use thechart to determine the best setting to use.• To stop a feature before it is finished, tap thatfeature’s pad until no options are selectedand the display is off.• During ExpressThaw and ExpressChill,the display on the controls will count downthe time in the cycle.• After the ExpressThaw cycle is complete,the pan will reset to the MEAT setting (31°F)to help preserve thawed items until theyare used.• The displayed actual temperature of theCustomCool pan may vary slightly fromthe SET temperature based on usage andoperating environment.NOTE: For food safety reasons, it is recommendedthat foods be wrapped in plastic wrap when usingExpressThaw.
