22TabsReplacing the Light BulbsStainless Steel RefrigeratorSetting the controls to OFF does not removepower to the light circuit.1 Unplug the refrigerator.2 The bulbs are located at the top of thecompartment, inside the light shield.On some models, a screw at the front ofthe light shield will have to be removed.3 To remove the light shield, press in on thetabs on the sides of the shield and slideforward and out.4 After replacing the bulb with an appliancebulb of the same or lower wattage, replacethe light shield and screws (on some models).When replacing the light shield, make surethat the tabs at the back of the shield fit intothe slots at the back of the light shield housing.5 Plug the refrigerator back in.Fresh foodcompartment—upper lightSetting the controls to OFF does not removepower to the light circuit.This light is located above the top pan.1 Unplug the refrigerator.2 Remove the convertible meat drawer controlknob by pulling straight out.3 Lift the light shield up and pull it out.4 After replacing the bulb with an appliancebulb of the same or lower wattage, replace theshield and the knob.5 Plug the refrigerator back in.Fresh foodcompartment—lower lightCOLDCOLDESTSetting the controls to OFF does not removepower to the light circuit.1 Unplug the refrigerator.2 Remove the shelf just above the light shield.(The shelf will be easier to remove if it isemptied first.) When reinstalling the light shield,make sure the top tabs snap securely intoplace.
