The superheatedsteam and hot water can cause scalding!Never direct the steam or the hot water jettowards body parts! Touch the steam /hotwater nozzle carefully: scalding hazard!Intended Use- This coffee machine is intended for householduse only.- Do not make technical changes or use theappliance inappropriately: risk of damage/injury!- The coffee machine must only be used byadults who are in full control of their mentaland physical capacities.Power Supply- Connect the coffee machine to a suitableoutlet only.- The voltage must match the one specified onthe appliance identification plate.Power Supply Cord (Fig.A)- Never use the coffee machine if it has a faultycord.- The defective cord must be replacedimmediately.- An authorized service centre must replace thedefective cords and plugs immediately.- Do not let the cord touch sharp edges, veryhot objects or oily surfaces.- Do not carry or pull the coffee machine bythe cord.- Do not pull on the cord to remove the plug, anddo not touch the plug with wet hands or feet.- Avoid letting the cord dangle from tables orraised surfaces.Preventing Injury (Fig.B)- Ensure that the machine is out of the reach ofchildren.Children are not aware of the hazards involvedin electrical appliances.- Do not leave packing material nearchildren.Scalding Hazard (Fig.C)- Do not direct the flow of the superheatedsteam and/or hot water towards yourself and/or others: scalding hazard!- Always use the handles or knobs provided.- Do not insert objects through the openings inthe appliance.Space necessary for installation, usage,and maintenance. (Fig.D)- Place the machine on a flat, even surface.- The machine must be positioned in a safeplace where it cannot be knocked over orcause injury.- Choose a position that is well lit, hygienic andwhere a wall outlet is easily accessible.- To prevent melting or damage to the casing,do not rest the machine on very hot surfacesor near open flames.- Place the coffee machine 10 cm away fromwalls and cooktops.- Do not keep the machine at a temperaturebelow 0°C; frost may damage the machine.- The wall outlet must be reachable at all times.- Do not use the coffee machine outdoors.Cleaning (Fig.E)- Before cleaning the coffee machine, switchthe ON/OFF switch (7) to “O”; then, removethe plug from the wall outlet.- Wait for the machine to cool down.- Never immerse the appliance in water! Avoidsplashes.- Never tamper with internal machine parts.Storing the Appliance- When the appliance is not used regularly,switch it OFF and remove the plug from thewall outlet.- Store it in a dry place, out of children’s reach.- Protect it from dust and dirt.
