Backlighting may have been set to a level not suitable for thecurrent ambient lighting.The large color display can be set to various brightness levels to allow for easyviewing in full sunlight or dimmed for night viewing. The power button can be used toquickly set the backlight intensity. By momentarily pressing the power button (whenthe unit is powered on) a window appears showing the current backlight setting. Fromthis window the backlight setting can be adjusted with the joystick knob, or a secondmomentary press of the power button changes the backlight level to full bright (10).This provides a display which can be read under most lighting conditions. Once thismethod of changing the backlight to full bright has been used, the previously selectedvalue is lost and the new backlight level is (10) and will remain at (10) until it ismanually adjusted.Adjusting display backlighting:1) Press the MENU Key twice to display the Main Menu.2) Turn or move the FMS Joystick to highlight ‘System Setup...’ and press theENT Key.3) With ‘Display’ highlighted press the ENT Key.
