Remove the cover from themachine.6 Disconnect the battery backs from the machine.Electrocution hazard. Contact withelectrically charged circuits couldresult in death or serious injury.Remove all rings, watches andother jewelry.7 Place a suitable container under the engineplate.8 Tag and disconnect the fuel hose from the fuelfilter and drain the fuel tank into a suitablecontainer. See capacity specifications.9 Tag, disconnect and plug the fuel hoses fromthe fuel tank.10 Remove the fuel tank strap fasteners andremove the tank strap.11 Remove the fuel tank from the machine.12 Tag, disconnect and plug the hydraulic hosesfrom the turntable rotation motor manifold. Capthe fittings on the manifold.Bodily injury hazard. Sprayinghydraulic oil can penetrate andburn skin. Loosen hydraulicconnections very slowly to allowthe oil pressure to dissipategradually. Do not allow oil to squirtor spray.13 Remove the turntable rotation motor mountingfasteners. Remove the motor from the brake.14 Remove the turntable rotation motor from themachine.10-1Rotation Hydraulic Motor(before serial number 18367)How to Remove the RotationHydraulic MotorWhen removing a hose assemblyor fitting, the O-ring on the fittingand/or hose end must be replacedand then torqued to specificationduring installation. Refer toSection 2,Hydraulic Hose andFitting Torque Specifications.1 Raise the secondary boom until the upper pivotis above the turntable covers. Turn the machineoff.2 Secure the turntable from rotating with theturntable rotation lock pin.Crushing hazard.
