If thepad is more than 9 /16 inch(14.3 mm) thick, shim asnecessary.3 Loosen the wear pad mounting fasteners.4 Install the new shims under the wear pad toobtain zero clearance and zero drag.5 Tighten the mounting fasteners.6 Extend and retract the primary boom through anentire cycle. Check for tight spots that maycause binding or scraping of the boom.Always maintain squarenessbetween the outer and inner boomtubes.How to Remove the PrimaryBoomBodily injury hazard. Thisprocedure requires specific repairskills, lifting equipment and asuitable workshop.
